LLC. During his successful tenure as Division Vice President, Noel was largely responsible for the growth and production of their benefit department. He worked primarily with the New York and New Jersey business communities to place employer-sponsored insurance coverage for companies large and small. Noel led a turnaround within the Benefit Division that resulted in revenue growth of 30% within his first year, and doubled in four years.

Calas Group Welcomes Employees Home from Military Service in Afghanistan

They were all working for the Afghanistan Threat Finance Cell, Bagram AFB, AFG, a cell seeking to identify and disrupt financial networks related to terrorism, the Taliban, narcotics trafficking and corruption. The U.S. Department of the Treasury’s website states, “Led by the Drug Enforcement Agency with Treasury serving as co-deputy, nearly 60 Afghan Threat Finance Cell (ATFC) personnel are embedded with military commands across Afghanistan to improve the targeting of the insurgents’ financial structure.”

The Calas Group’s team members deployed were: bookkeeper and manager of the Jacksonville office, Jason Corse – US Navy reservist and CPT Brian George – US Army reservist and Calas Group’s Managing Partner. In addition, Mr. Robert French – DIA Contractor, Calas Group’s tax attorney and future manager of their Dallas/Fort Worth office. The Dallas/Fort Worth office is scheduled to open late 2015/early 2016.

According to an United States Army War College manuscript entitled, “Emerging DoD Role in the Interagency Counter Threat Finance Mission (CTF)” by Lieutenant Colonel Jennifer E. Carter, United States Marine Corps, “Analyzing financial data is a key weapon in the targeting of terrorists and aids in the tracking, monitoring, exploitation and disruption of the ‘lone wolf’ terrorist or a network and its supporters. With the proper investigative and enforcement mechanisms in place, CTF serves a critical role in destabilizing terrorist organizations by exposing patterns and anomalies regarding income sources, operational expenses and funds transfers over time, eliminating their fiscal resources, and gathering actionable information for operational and intelligence purposes.”

The Congressional Black Caucus Foundation, Inc. (CBCF) today announced the creation of Bloggers Row, powered by USTelecom Association, the newest addition to the Annual Legislative Conference (ALC), held Sept. 18-21, 2013 at Walter E. Washington Convention Center.

Bloggers Row is a special section designed to provide a custom workspace for Bloggers. It will be located on the west side of the L Street Bridge of the Convention Center. Approved bloggers will receive free password-accessible internet service, beverages and access to VIPs for interviews.

“We realize the growing impact that bloggers have in the media landscape as more people, especially millennials, increasingly turn to new media for their news,” said A. Shuanise Washington, president and chief executive officer of CBCF. “The influence and reach of popular bloggers has grown exponentially over the past few years. Bloggers Row offers us the opportunity to create and build relationships with those bloggers and ensure coverage of ALC across traditional and social media.”

Bloggers interested in covering ALC from Bloggers Row, must register using the link for media registration. Bloggers will be notified of their acceptance.

The Congressional Black Caucus Foundation’s (CBCF) 43rd Annual Legislative Conference (ALC) is the leading conference on legislative and policy issues impacting the African-American and Diaspora communities. Nearly 10,000 people will attend this four-day gathering to develop solutions to the challenges facing Black communities around the world through issues forums, brain trusts, a town hall meeting, networking sessions, and more.
