Buttonwood Financial Group, a full-service wealth management firm, is pleased to announce and welcome two new members of the Buttonwood Team: Chris Henry as a Portfolio Technical Specialist and Jeff Rice as a Client Services Specialist. They bring a wealth of knowledge and a breadth of experience to Buttonwood and will maintain the firm’s commitment to serving as a personal Family CFO to its clients.

“I will continue Buttonwood Financial Group’s mission to simplify the complexity that often accompanies wealth,” Rice said. He brings 15 years of mutual fund industry experience and has spent the majority of his investment career at Waddell & Reed, evaluating and analyzing mutual fund performance as a Senior Performance Analyst. Later, Rice transitioned to the marketing side of the business via its Ivy Funds subsidiary. He is a graduate of Morningside College with a degree in business administration and economics. He has two daughters and spends his free time golfing, visiting friends and exploring the hidden gems of Kansas City.

After graduating from Texas Christian University, where he majored in business administration with an emphasis in finance, Henry began his career in customer service for the wealth management industry.

Jon McGraw, President of Buttonwood, said, “Chris Henry provides a strong addition to our technology and trading team. He has spent the last decade working at Schwab Performance Technologies, building client relationships with Registered Investment Advisors, along with establishing investment platforms.”

In the late 1960s, with the world enmeshed in the Vietnam War, a new sound rang out from the hills and canyons of Southern California. The folk-rock era had arrived, anchored by a new breed of singer/songwriter. In the center of this musical revolution stood an unassuming, but immensely talented, engineer/producer named Henry Lewy. However, when production started on this documentary, there was not even a Wikipedia entry for Henry!

Henry’s story begins with his escape from Nazi Germany and his courageous service for the US Army in World War II. Then it unfolds through interviews with the artists, writers and producers he worked with throughout an incredible career that spanned nearly fifty years. The film explores, in-depth, the influence of music on our times with video of the history-changing events, and the incredible legacy of the music Henry helped produce and engineer. His body of recordings endures in the pantheon of the greatest albums of the modern rock era.

Director/Producer Bob Burton first met Henry in 1978 and for the next 28 years Henry became his mentor and friend. Shortly before Henry died, he gave Bob his personal journals and photos from his incredible life’s journey. After Henry died, Burton and production partner Evan Archerd formed Below Stairs Productions to create and produce this documentary film to honor the man behind the music. Henry’s story needs to be told now, while those who worked with him are still able to contribute to this film.

An impressive list of artists have agreed to participate in this project, including Joni Mitchell, Herb Alpert, Chris Hillman (Founder of The Byrds/Flying Burrito Bros.), Stephen Bishop, and Mark Isham (Composer of A River Runs Through It, et al), Bernie Grundman, Max Bennett (LA Express), Leah Kunkel, Steve Katz and Roscoe Beck. Interviews have been completed with Henry’s sister, Eva and other family members. The production company is currently reaching out to Neil Young. Leonard Cohen, David Crosby, Graham Nash, Joan Baez, Van Morrison, Joe Cocker and many, many more. For more information go to http://www.belowstairsproductions.com
