The program doesn’t rely on typical finance qualifiers like credit scores or debt-to-income ratios. All they look at is the customer having 10% equity and being current on property taxes and mortgage payments. In this economy, it’s really a terrific way to pay for solar, realize an income tax break and start saving on utility costs right away.”
Western Riverside County’s HERO program was recently listed as a “Top 10 Green Building Policies” program by the U.S. Green Building Council. In addition, it won the President’s Award for Excellence from the Southern California Association of Governments.
